Strong earthquake struck Chile again. On May 19, 2012 at 8:35 UTC magnitude 5.9 earthquake struckAntofagasta, Chile. Recorded depth according to USGS was 25 km (15.5 miles). Epicenter location was 54 km (33 miles) SW of Taltal, Antofagasta, Chile (25.783°S, 70.793°W).

5.9-magnitude quake strikes near Bologna, Italy
A 5.9-magnitude tremor rattled northern Italy early on Sunday, the US Geological Survey says. The earthquake struck some 36 km northwest of the city of Bologna and there have been no immediate reports of casualties.

M5.1 solar flare generated S2 solar radiation storm
A strong solar flare reaching M5.1 took place at 01:47 UTC Thursday morning. The flare was centered around Sunspot 1476 near the northwest limb. A bright CME was generated but because of the spots location, the plasma cloud will be headed mostly to the west.
